About Downtown Jaco Beach

Jaco is an active but calm small town and with one of the most popular beaches of Costa Rica. It is located like 2 hours from San José (140km) in the province of Puntarenas throughout the Central Pacifica Coast in the midway between the capital and Manuel Antonio national park.

Jaco Beach has a rectilinear type of beach. Their sands are of grayish-yellowish color in their totality and account with an extension of 4 km. The beach presents in both extremes promontories with exuberant vegetation. Throughout its coast we observed vegetation inserting with houses. Its beach is destined to the sun, the sea, long walks by the beach, beach games and aquatic sports.

In Jaco an ample range of tourist attractions can be found, stores of surf, repair shops of tables, hotels, bungalows, places where to encamp, restaurants serving international cuisine, a great number of snack bar, internet cafes, bars, discotheques and banks. Jacó by itself is breaks of diversion beach and is the home of the best surfers of Costa Rica.

Nevertheless, the diversion here is accidental and relaxed and its inhabitants are very friendly. It supplies mainly to the majority of foreign tourists whom they love to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle.

In Jaco you will found lodgings that adjust to all the budgets. There is also in the town many tour operators who organize from horse cavalcades in the beach to excellent sport fishing outside the beach and kayak in the sea.
