Río Colorado: is an affluent of the River San Juan which flows towards the Caribbean sea in the northern of Heredia and Limon Provinces.
Río Corobicí: is an affluent of the "Río Tempisque". This river passes from Lake Arenal through tropical dry forest and then to open pastures.
Río Grande de Orosí: near to the Cordillera de Talamanca, it crosses through the national park of Tapantí, arriving until the Cachi lake, where is the Cachi dam.
Río Pacuare: born in the "Cordillera de Talamanca" and flows throughout 108 km to the Caribbean.
Río Reventazón: also called the "Río Parismina", flows throughout 145 km to the Caribbean sea. It grow up in Meseta Central and flows through the Turrialba, Reventazón and Orosí Valleys. and make the border of the Tortuguero National Park.
